Payments Compare earns commissions when you sign up for a platform through links on this site. This doesn't change what we write. We'll tell you when a platform isn't worth it, even if we have an affiliate agreement with them.
Payments Compare is a free resource. To keep it running, we have affiliate relationships with some of the platforms we review. This means that if you click a link on this site and sign up for a service, we may receive a flat fee or a share of revenue from that platform.
We also offer paid consultations for businesses that need personalised advice on choosing or setting up a payment platform. These are disclosed separately on the consultation page.
We do not accept payment to write positive reviews, alter scores, or feature a platform we wouldn't otherwise recommend. Affiliate agreements do not influence our editorial ratings or recommendations.
Every platform on this site is reviewed using the same scoring framework regardless of whether we have an affiliate relationship with them. Where we have a direct commercial relationship with a platform, we disclose this at the top of that review.
We know the standard response to an affiliate disclosure is scepticism. Here's why we think that scepticism is less warranted here than on most review sites:
